Stereo mastering is the traditional technique of mastering an audio production, where all the information of the mix is contained in a single stereo L-R file requested from the mixing engineer with our technical specifications.
Stem mastering is a different technique of audio mastering that uses stereo files from the most important groups in the production (for example, Drums, Bass, Synths, Guitars and Vocals) to achieve a better adjustment around frequencies and dynamics of the song. This technique goes into the deepest details, taking care of the concept and the levels established in the mix by its engineer.
